A group of Chinese doctors in Senegal has started a special training program to teach Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to local health workers and medical students. The training took place at Fann National University Hospital in Dakar and welcomed more than 30 participants.

The program included 12 lessons that focused on TCM theory, hands-on practice, and real-life case studies. It also shared tips on how to stay healthy during different seasons, based on the TCM idea of living in harmony with nature.
The training is part of a larger partnership between China and Senegal under the Belt and Road Initiative. Yang Yiguo, the leader of the Chinese medical team, said more TCM programs are planned.
Along with training, the Chinese team is also helping local hospitals by providing medical care and supplies
