Nigerian Afrobeat star Burna Boy has reportedly cancelled five shows from his ongoing tour after ticket sales dropped in several cities.

The decline began shortly after a viral video showed the singer ordering some fans out of his concert for allegedly “sleeping” during his performance in Denver, Colorado. The clip stirred major criticism online, with many people accusing him of disrespecting his audience.

Following the heavy backlash, interest in the remaining tour dates reportedly fell, leading his team to quietly adjust the tour schedule. Burna Boy later addressed the incident during a show in Dallas, apologizing to his fans and asking for understanding.

He admitted the situation affected his ticket sales, joking that even the coffee he introduced wasn’t selling. He added that everything he said that day was a slip of tongue and he was truly sorry.
